It turns out, that the economy is the reason a 44-pound cat was found lumbering the streets of New Jersey became homeless.

The Camden County Animal Shelter says that the cat’s (powder) owner came forward to say she had abandon the cat because her home was foreclosed. The said animal shelter has been caring for the cat - who became a local media sensation since it was found on Saturday wandering the southern New Jersey suburb of Voorhees.
