Ghel, ang sabi nila, it doesn’t matter if you drink white with beef or you drink red with chicken, pork or fish as long as you enjoy your food and your wine together. It’s all about personal preference. Who made up these rules anyway? Besides, we are at the age where there are no rules in food as long as it is an enjoyable experience. In fact, the more adventurous you are, the better as it may allow you to discover new flavor combinations. Even if you check out Food and Wine magazine, they have pairings for red meat with white wines and white meat with red wines. The point is, there are no strict rules, even for social climbing. They should even find you innovative for what you did.
